HAPPY NEW YEAR

As we roll into a new year, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you. To everyone who purchased a knife, attended a workshop, supported the brand, or simply followed along in 2025, your support means more to us than we can easily put into words. We truly couldn’t do what we do without you.

After a big year, we took a short break over December and headed south to visit family in Victoria. Instead of taking the easy option and jumping on a plane, we decided to turn it into a road trip. No plan, no schedule, just a destination to reach by December 24 and everything in between left open for adventure.

With a heatwave rolling across much of New South Wales, we set our sights on the NSW High Country as our first stop. Cooler air, open landscapes, and a chance to slow things down felt like exactly what we needed. Jason also dusted off the fishing rods, having heard that the river was fishing well for trout.

After a couple of days on the road via Tamworth (great steak) and Canberra (pretty much great everything - coffee, bakeries, burgers, beer), we rolled into Jindabyne. It was still warm, but coming from Noosa, the heat felt familiar enough.

We didn’t waste any time. After arriving, we headed straight for the river, eager to throw a line in and see what was around. The sun was dipping low, the mosquitoes were out in force (at least I knew which fly to tie on), and optimism was high. Surely, this was going to be the one - the big catch.

A couple of hours later… not a single bite.
Let me repeat that - not one.

That’s alright though. There was still tomorrow.
